Wascana Centre in Regina is one of North America’s largest urban parks, spanning 930 hectares of beautifully manicured parkland and built around a scenic 120-hectare man-made lake. Known as the "jewel in the crown of Regina.”
Walk around and see the nature of space and the historical monuments all around, or check out one of the following attractions (costs are separate).
  1. Royal Saskatchewan Museum.- Admission: Optional donation (recommended $5.00)
  2. Saskatchewan - Science Center General Admission Adult $21.99
  3. Water Sports (kayaks and stand-up paddle boards available for rent) - varying prices

Hear opening remarks from our hosts First Nations University Student Association, Knowledge Keeper Dennis Omeasoo (assisted by Elders helper Roland Kaye) and COCA Board Chair, followed by a special presentation from Saskatchewan’s own New Dawn Drum Group, Terrance Littletent & Donny Parenteau . Experience a meaningful start to the week through connection, culture, and community.

Please note that this event will feature a smudging ceremony, which includes guidance for those unfamiliar with the practice. Participation is entirely optional, and delegates are welcome to observe. Those with sensitivities to scent or smoke may choose to observe from a distance.
